This event is part of the European Maker Week, an initiative promoted by European Commission and implemented by Maker Faire Rome in collaboration with Startup Europe. It's a celebration of makers and innovators all over Europe.
Public event focused on 3D applications & techniques used in education, research & innovation, and digital fabrication. It addresses researchers, makers, teachers and students from Iasi (Romania), in three interactive sections:
1.ƎDUtainment – virtual learning environment – innovative academic teaching tools for applied sciences;
2. RƎDESIGN YOUR WORLD – think out of the box – 3D devices and applications developed in the laboratories of Iasi universities;
3. CRƎATIVE SHOW OFF – digital fabrication – meet HACKERSPACE IASI – interactive project exhibition of the local community of independent makers.
Visitors will meet the world imagined by the 3D developers, having the possibility to interact directly with the makers and their inventions.
In their turn, the makers will have an opportunity to present their lab projects to a wider public, in order to get a first feed-back from their targeted users and to have a creative exchange of ideas with fellow innovators and experts.
The event aims to offer a new and entertaining perspective on the technical and applied disciplines, in an attempt to attract young (and less young) people to the ever promising field of applied sciences.
Workshop organized by Romania's North-East Regional Development Agency in partnership with "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University, and "Ion Ionescu de la Brad" University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine" of Iasi, and with HACKERSPACE IASI.
