Design Thinking with Makers (DIT)
Design Thinking with Makers (DIT)
A product design workshop for Transition Year students that investigates Force, Work, Propulsion, Potential and Kinetic energy and Newton’s Laws of Motion.

Starting with some theory, students will join groups with access to a range of materials, many of them recycled like bottle tops and cardboard, to design and produce a working balloon car.

All cars must be completed with white labels which the students colour and add to their cars. A competition is then held to determine the car that will travel the furthest.
